Can i hack the GPRS setting of an unlocked t-mobile sidekick slide, to acsess the net in Australia? - how to change gprs setting on my sidekick

I bought recently an unlocked T-Mobile Sidekick Slide on the seas. I put my SIM card to Telstra and it allows me to call and msg, but I can not access the network. Is it possible to change or turn off the GPRS settings, you can use here in Australia?

    Simply ur phone on roaming or use the settings on ur phone Oz
